Christopher Manning - IT, Apple, Automation, A/V, Home TheatreLoving everything Apple, Chris Manning has been supporting Mac users for the past 10 years. He is educated in the technical industry and has worked with everything from home automation, home theatre, security systems, remote surveillance, lighting design, and of course, Apple support. As an Apple consultant, he has provided nationwide consultation for implementing budget conscious solutions according to clients needs, managing both commercial and residential client relationships. Chris has also used his technical knowledge in the entertainment industry. After receiving his BA in Technical Theatre from Barry University in North Miami, FL, and his MFA in Lighting design from the University of Missouri in Kansas City, he served as Assistant Professor/Technical Director at Montgomery College in Rockville, MD, where he taught Lighting Design, Stagecraft and Performance Production. His lighting design credits for theater and dance include Catholic University, and various theaters and companies throughout Brooklyn, Colorado and Florida, in addition to his role as the Assistant Technical Director and resident Lighting Designer at the Beck Center for the Performing Arts in Cleveland, OH. Further technical theater credits include his work as a Master Electrician at the Public Theater in Manhattan, where he worked both in house and at Shakespeare in the park, collaborating with designers, staff and administration. His lighting design interests extend into architecture, and include his experience at Advanced Audio Design, in Venice, FL, where he designed lighting and lighting control systems for multimillion-dollar homes. From onset through build, he produced designs in Vectorworks to be used as presentations for clients, construction documents for builders, and further collaborated with builders, electricians, landscape architects, clients and interior designers throughout the construction. But at the end of the day there is nothing that will take him away from supporting users on the Apple platform, except some family time camping or hiking with the latest gadgets! Sometimes we have to have fun with technology…
